W1A ETHICAL DECISION MAKING
A case-based interactive discussion workshop, facilitated by experienced clinicians, on negotiating ethical dilemmas faced when caring for patients at the end of life. Participants are welcome to bring their own cases.

W2A RESEARCH FORUM
This workshop provides an opportunity for participants to discuss aspects of research. Using short presentations as well as group work, there will be an opportunity to interact with experienced researchers who will address a number of issues that have been encountered in the research process.

W3A LEARNING TO TEACH PALLIATIVE MEDICINE
This workshop is aimed at educators in palliative medicine, on improving awareness and effectiveness in delivering teaching. Two short introductions will be given, addressing new teaching formats in the context of Palliative Care and addressing the latest medical issues. This will be followed by facilitated discussions on the relationship between bedside based research and teaching, as well as identification of and approach to addressing learning/teaching needs.
